BYTHEWAY WINE CULT was born out of a simple frustration: wine culture had become too serious. Too snobby. Too... filtered. We wanted to create a space where wine could be what it's always been at its best—a reason to gather, to laugh, to slow down.

We work exclusively with small Hungarian winemakers who share our philosophy: minimal intervention, maximum character. No added sulfites, no commercial yeasts, no pretense. Just grapes, time, and a whole lot of personality.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

Natural wine isn't a trend for us—it's a conviction. We believe wine should taste like where it comes from, not like a chemistry set. Every bottle we carry tells a story of a specific place, a specific person, a specific moment in time.

Unfiltered people means we care as much about the winemakers as we do about their wines. We visit every producer. We drink with them. We understand their process, their struggles, their victories. When you buy a bottle from us, you're not just getting wine—you're getting a piece of someone's life's work.

The cult is anyone who believes that life is too short for boring wine and fake conversation. No membership required. No secret handshake. Just an appreciation for the real, the raw, and the ridiculously good.

THE CULT CELLAR

Our physical space is tucked into the historic Buda Castle District, where the old meets the unfiltered. Part wine shop, part cultural space, part excuse to hang out—The Cult Cellar is where we host tastings, events, and the occasional philosophical debate about orange wine.

Walk in any day of the week and you might find a winemaker pouring their latest vintage, a group of strangers becoming friends over a shared bottle, or just us, playing records and talking about nothing important.
